Engine Workshop Technician

Cummins is looking for a talented In-shop diesel technician to complete its team at the Kamloops location.
Cummins offers a 5000$ sign-on bonus for this position
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Apply documented procedures and policies to perform diagnostics and complex repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engine.
- Complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten or business system input screens.
- Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
- Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Adhere to and ensures adherence of more junior technicians to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Red seal Truck and transport or Heavy-duty mechanics is mandatory for this position.
- Locally valid driving permit is mandatory for the role.
- CVI license is an asset for this role.
- Class 3 license is an asset for this role.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
- Experience in bumper to bumper repairs.
- Experience in trailer repair.
- Cummins engine troubleshooting and repairs is considered an asset
- OEM Dealer experience is considered an asset.

- This is a safety-oriented position.
- On a 4x10 working schedule 7am to 530pm
