Wascana Centre, Provincial Capital Commission
- Do you have a passion for brand storytelling and social media? Do you experience in graphic design?
- The Provincial Capital Commission - the land manager and program operator for Wascana Centre and Government House - is looking for an individual to help us grow, share, and evolve our brand story through our web and social media presence.
- Reporting to the Manager, Outreach and Visitor Experience, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for storytelling and social media. This includes responsibilities such as:
- Create digital media content for use on Wascana Centre and Government House social media channels. This includes the creation of graphics, photo/image editing, photography, and social media video creation (reels)
- Create social media campaigns and analyze performance data to evaluate effectiveness
- Write social media posts for Wascana Centre and Government House channels
- Proactively identify content and storytelling opportunities both internally and externally
- Using Adobe Photoshop or similar to create complex graphics
- Using WordPress to manage websites
- Attend Wascana Centre and Government House events to capture content
- Conduct research into best social media practices and current trends
- Assist at Wascana Centre, Government House, and Provincial Capital Commission events as required
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Outreach and Visitor Experience
What you will need:
- Certificate in business, marketing, communications, or graphic design
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in social media management or content creation.
- Graphic design: High level experience in tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Social media: Experience in managing social media accounts and creating engaging content
- Website: Experience in WordPress
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Efficient relationship building skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, volunteers and all members of the general public.
Other working conditions:
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop content
- Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics to generate new content ideas
- Monitor and report on content performance using tools like Google Analytics
- Hours of work often include weekends and some evenings.
