Canadian Natural is seeking a Project Geophysicist to spearhead seismic analysis for CCS initiatives in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. This role requires a deep understanding of subsurface reservoirs and expertise in monitoring programs. You will work closely with engineering and geology teams to refine injection strategies and conduct risk assessments that comply with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead 2D and 3D seismic interpretation for site characterization
- Collaborate on developing injection strategies and monitoring
- Design and manage seismicity monitoring programs
- Conduct seismic hazard assessments and forecasting methods
- Liaise with partners on data sharing and compliance
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Geophysics or related field
- 5+ years in seismic interpretation and monitoring
- Technical expertise with seismic industry software
- Strong knowledge of Alberta regulatory requirements
- Proven analytical and communication skills
