Reporting to a Foreman, a Labourer is responsible for providing physical labour support throughout all phases of construction and production. This role includes tasks such as handwork, material handling, site clearing, preparation, shoveling, and basic equipment operation.

How You'll Add Value

• Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment
• Work as part of a highway maintenance crew to support daily operations
• Remove garbage and debris from the road right-of-way to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Wash bridge decks and related structures to ensure cleanliness and functionality
• Trim grass along roadways using a handheld trimmer to maintain visibility and aesthetics
• Prepare sites for tractor and spider mowing by clearing and organizing work areas
• Execute temporary traffic control plans by placing, removing, covering, and uncovering traffic control signs, cones, barricades, and other devices to ensure safe traffic flow
• Perform other general labour and highway maintenance duties as needed to support the team

What You Bring

• Valid Class 5 License with a Driver's Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions
• Physically able to safely lift and carry 40 lbs regularly
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various conditions, including extreme weather and rough terrain
