Job Description

The Strategic Sourcing Manager – Supply Chain is responsible for all aspects of sourcing strategy for the commodities under their leadership. They define and manage cost, quality, and delivery performance strategies, lead long‑term projects, negotiate agreements, and oversee contract performance. They work cross‑functionally, partnering with supply‑chain counterparts and external buyers to align with delivery, cost, and quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall sourcing strategy (cost, quality, delivery) for owned commodities and suppliers.
• Identify and implement long‑term projects to achieve sustainable performance results.
• Analyze market landscape and internal production needs for engineering commodities.
• Analyze spend data, evaluate margin expansion, and create value.
• Use the strategic sourcing review board to develop company strategies.
• Apply the Raytheon Playbook to negotiate long‑term agreements with contract teams.
• Develop commodity strategies that limit exposure to risk and liability.
• Assess the impact of strategic and tactical decisions on the long‑term supply base strategy.
• Oversee and manage contract performance.
• Build strong partnerships with assigned suppliers and collaborate with internal groups to reduce total cost.
• Identify and manage cost‑reduction and improvement projects.
• Execute supplier relationship management strategies for assigned portfolios.

Qualifications

• Must haves: BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Purchasing, Administration/Commerce, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
• 5–10 years of experience in a similar sourcing role.
• Strong strategic and negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical data skills.
• Good communication and leadership abilities.
• Strong functional, business, and strategic knowledge.
• MBA (preferred).

Language Requirements: The role is in a French‑speaking environment; excellent English reading and communication skills are required for daily documentation and technical terms.
