At the MBA, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and collaborative environment for our Members. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized and friendly Executive Officer to join our team. As the first point of contact for our members, your personality will be key to ensuring everyone feels valued and supported. In this position, you will report directly to the President of the association and/or their delegate(s).

Hours: Full time, flexible, 40 hours per week.

Wage: $25 - $32/hour (pending personality and experience)

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for Members and visitors, creating a positive and welcoming environment
• Provide administrative support to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors with event planning, coordination and association-related projects.
• Attend all Board Meetings, Member Meetings, and Events.
• Bookkeeping duties include, but are not limited to AR, AP, reconciliation, cost forecasts, record keeping, and tax remittance
• Manage phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries, directing them to the appropriate team member in a timely manner
• Coordinate and manage daily office operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly
• Maintain office supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed
• Handle Member registrations and support during the Membership onboarding process
• Coordinate Member training (First Aid and Fall Arrest) and Board Room rentals.
• Help create and implement administrative procedures to improve office efficiency
• Weekly Member news and promotions for events
• Be a resource, well-versed in MBA background, policies, procedures, and Bylaws of the association

Qualifications:

• 2 plus years in an administrative role
• Proficient with Drive and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• QuickBooks experience
• Experience in WordPress, Canva and Mailchimp is an asset
• Experience with the building community is an asset
• Valid driver's license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
