Social Worker for Student Services
Upper Grand District School Board
Join the Upper Grand District School Board as a Social Worker and Attendance Counsellor at Westside Secondary School. This full-time role focuses on mental health, attendance management, and student support. As a pivotal member of the Student Support Services team, you will apply evidence-based interventions and strengthen relationships with students, families, and staff. Your expertise in clinical modalities, such as CBT and trauma-informed practices, will greatly impact student well-being and achievement. Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver clinical assessments and interventions for students
• Manage diverse caseloads effectively and empathetically
• Develop and facilitate group interventions for student support
• Collaborate with community agencies for integrated care
• Maintain accurate documentation per professional standards Requirements:
• Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) required
• Registered with Ontario College of Social Workers
• At least 3-5 years of experience in social work settings
• Knowledge of youth behavioral/mental health issues
• Reliable transportation for school visits Make a significant difference in the lives of students through your expertise in social work and attendance management.
