Payroll and Accounting Coordinator

Pan Pacific Whistler is looking for a Payroll and Accounting Coordinator to support the Finance department at the hotels. Elevate your Hospitality career at Canada's Best Ski Hotel!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Payroll
¨ Full Cycle Payroll processing
¨ Support managers and associates with payroll queries
¨ Liaise with governmental agencies and payroll service provider as required
¨ Keep current with latest legislative changes to employment standards and rules and regulations
¨ Produce manual pay cheques when needed
¨ Administration of payroll software
¨ Assist with year end T4 processing and distribution
Cash Audit & Accounting
¨ Complete daily audit and review processes including compiling daily revenue reports and balancing and reviewing credit cards and cash
¨ Maintain and audit petty cash and floats
¨ Prepare and complete bank deposits as required
¨ Accounts Payable - code, post and prepare payments for various vendors
¨ Correspond with vendors as required
¨ Accounts Receivable entries
¨ Month end bank and account reconciliation
¨ GST and PST remittances
¨ Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
¨ 2- 3 years' experience in a similar role ideally within the hospitality industry
¨ Previous Payroll experience is preferred
¨ Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation or working towards an asset
¨ Excellent organizational and time management skills
¨ Excellent attention to detail
¨ Must possess good communication and customer service skills
¨ Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
¨ Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
¨ Strong analytical skills
