UPEI Level 6 Laboratory Instructor Position

Join UPEI's Chemistry Department as a Level 6 Laboratory Instructor, teaching and managing laboratory sections in a supportive academic environment. This full-time, 9-month permanent position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, along with two years of relevant experience. You will oversee laboratory operations while mentoring students, ensuring a smooth educational process. Set up laboratories and provide safety instructions, marking, and evaluations. Key Responsibilities:

• Administrative management of chemistry lab operations
• Set up equipment and chemicals for laboratory sessions
• Teach and supervise undergraduate chemistry students
• Provide pre-lab guidance and mark student reports
• Collaborate with faculty on lab assessments

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry
• Two years of relevant educational experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and constructively
• Enthusiasm for engaging students in laboratory learning
