You will focus on enhancing the stability and performance of Spark while managing internal storage systems and metadata services in the lakehouse architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance Spark stability and usability for optimal performance
- Extend Iceberg capabilities for productive data handling
- Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime
- Maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting processes
- Build internal storage and metadata services for the lakehouse
Requirements
- 10+ years in software development using Java or Scala
- In-depth knowledge of Apache Spark internals
- Familiarity with Parquet and Iceberg file formats
- Proficient in Linux/Unix and shell scripting
- Understanding of distributed systems and networking principles
