- Effectuer une inspection préopérationnelle
- Monter et démonter des coffrages de béton, des échafaudages, des rampes d'accès, des passerelles d'étayage et des barrières
- Mélanger, verser et étaler des matériaux tels que le béton et l'asphalte
- Aider à aligner des tuyaux pendant la construction d'oléoducs ou de gazoducs
- Aider à monter la charpente des maisons, ériger les murs et construire les toitures
- Niveler la terre selon les spécifications de nivellement fin
- Aider aux travaux de démolition de bâtiments
- Nettoyer et empiler les matériaux récupérés
- Effectuer des travaux d'entretien courants
- Enlever les moellons et autres débris sur les chantiers de construction
- Diriger la circulation sur le chantier de construction ou à proximité de ce dernier
- Nettoyer et entretenir les canalisations et les raccords ainsi que le système d'évacuation
- Vérifier les tuyaux à l'aide de manomètres pour déceler les fuites
