Job : The Speech-Language Pathologist assesses, diagnoses and provides intervention for children with communication disorders. The Speech-Language Pathologist is also involved in health promotion and prevention work in relation to communication disorders. The Speech-Language Pathologist will work in concert with other agencies and disciplines in providing services. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

- Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge in community development
- Ability to communicate with clients from diverse social backgrounds
- Ability to communicate with clients from diverse economic backgrounds
- Ability to counsel in individual, families and group settings
- Demonstrates ability to accept and implement change
- Ability to accurately assess addiction(s) and make appropriate recovery plans.

- Ability to develop & maintain consulting relationships in multidisciplinary team
