Water Treatment Operator in Wanapitei

Become a Water Operator at CGS’s Wanapitei Water Treatment Plant. Engage in maintaining facilities, monitoring equipment, and ensuring water quality in this limited position. CGS is seeking a dedicated Water Treatment Operator to support its facilities for up to 18 months. Key responsibilities include acting as Operator-In-Charge, performing inspections, and managing operational adjustments. You’ll also collect samples, maintain records, and assist in training employees, contributing to the overall efficiency of water operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Operator-In-Charge for water facilities
- Perform facility inspections and operational adjustments
- Monitor equipment performance and report issues
- Collect samples and conduct laboratory tests
- Maintain grounds and perform minor repairs
- Valid Water Treatment Level I Certificate required
- One year experience in a water treatment facility
- Secondary School diploma or relevant post-secondary education
- Proficient in CMMS, MS Office, and SCADA software
- Physically capable of lifting 20 kgs and working in confined spaces
