Member of the Board of Directors

PEP Society is seeking a Board Director with legal expertise to join its Board of Directors.

PEP supports and educates families navigating the effects of addiction, with a focus on empowering caregivers to step into health and recovery. With in-person groups across Alberta and a province-wide virtual offering, the organization continues to expand its reach.

The Board is looking to strengthen its governance with a legal lens across risk, compliance, and decision-making. Over the past 3 years, PEP Society has grown from a small non-profit to a provincial presence. We will continue to grow in the years to come. We are a registered charity with CRA.

What we’re looking for:

• Legal background (lawyer, in-house counsel, or relevant experience)

• Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and risk

• Practical, thoughtful advice at the board level

• Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach

• Monthly board meetings

• Committee participation

• Strategic oversight and ambassadorship
