Novalytics is a FinTech startup based in Montreal that is building the next-generation analytical platform for ESG Analysts & Sustainable Finance Teams.

Our mission is to empower analysts and portfolio managers by delivering transparent, actionable, and AI-powered ESG insights, accelerating the shift toward genuinely sustainable capital allocation.

Your Main Deliverable

You will join a focused engineering team to finalize and deploy major application features. This includes:

• Feature Development: Taking high-priority features identified during the Beta phase, such as advanced visualization components, from concept to production.
• Performance and Quality: Working on tasks to optimize speed, improve stability, and ensure the application meets enterprise-grade quality standards.
• Back-End Scaling: Assisting with the integration of our LLM-driven data pipelines into the production environment for robust, real-time data delivery.

What We Need From You

Must-Haves:

• Bilingual: French & English
• Proven ability to complete a functional web project.
• Required: Coding experience in web development.
• Best Fit: Experience with TypeScript and Next.js.
• Show Us Your Work: Submit a link to a web project you made (live projects preferred).

Nice to Haves:

• UI/UX Principles: A basic design sense or familiarity with accessibility and responsive design principles.
• Domain Knowledge: Previous coursework or self-study in ESG & Sustainable Finance.
• ESG Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with major reporting frameworks
• Professional Presence: Strong soft skills and presentability for occasional interaction with financial clients or investors.

The Working Dynamic

We are looking for someone who is autonomous and works well both independently and in a team. Sometimes projects will be run at a normal pace and course, allowing for deep focus and learning. Other times, we will require you to be more involved, with accelerated timeframes and deadlines. The level of required involvement and commitment depends entirely on what is needed at the time to get things moving forward with the feature launches and project goals.
