Child Caregiver / Nanny (Live-Out) Location: Calgary, AB Position: Live-Out Child Caregiver / Nanny Schedule: Part-Time (approximately 42 hours/week) About Our Family We are a warm, organized, non-smoking family looking for a compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregiver to support our two wonderful children while Mom works as a Registered Nurse and attends graduate school full-time. Our home is pet-free, non-smoking, and focused on providing a safe, positive, and supportive environment. About the Children 12-year-old son

• Diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP)
• Uses a wheelchair and multiple medical devices
• Requires assistance with all activities of daily living
• Non-ambulatory and requires transfers, positioning, feeding assistance, suctioning, and support with mobility equipment
• Full training will be provided for his individualized care and medical equipment

9-year-old daughter

• Independent, kind, active, and attends elementary school
• Needs supervision, transportation to and from school (if applicable), help with meals, homework reminders, and after-school activities

Schedule Sunday: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM Monday: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

• Before school: approximately 7 00 AM until school drop-off
• After school: school pick-up until approximately 6 00 PM

Additional hours may occasionally be available with advance notice. Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care for a child with complex medical needs
• Follow individualized care routines and medical plans
• Operate and manage medical equipment (training provided), including:
• Wheelchair
• Feeding tube
• Suction machine
• BiPAP (when required)
• Communication device
• Orthotic braces and positioning equipment
• Assist with personal care, dressing, toileting, hygiene, and transfers
• Administer scheduled medications as instructed
• Prepare meals and tube feeds as directed
• School drop-off and pick-up
• Supervise after-school routines and activities
• Light housekeeping related to the children
• Laundry for the children
• Keep children’s bedrooms, medical supplies, and play areas organized
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Communicate daily updates with parents

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children with disabilities or complex medical needs is strongly preferred
• Health Care Aide (HCA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), nursing student, or equivalent caregiving experience is considered an asset
• Comfortable learning medical equipment and care routines
• Patient, calm, reliable, and compassionate
• Able to lift and assist with transfers (training provided)
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation preferred
• Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required
• References required
