Field Sales Merchandiser

Job Responsibility: As one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, Fresh Direct Produce is looking for a proactive Field Sales Merchandiser (Full and Part-time positions available) to join our growing team! This position is located in Victoria, BC. We have a great opportunity for you to bridge our Buying & Sales teams and our customers. Working primarily at the store level with our customers, you, as our Field Sales Merchandiser, will help merchandise Fresh Direct produce items, ensuring our products are displayed and replenished to optimize attraction and sales while communicating with our team. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative and will have great communication skills and a solutions-drive focus. We will provide training for those less experienced. Primary responsibilities include:

• Following planograms, create visually appealing displays of diverse Fresh Direct produce items.
• Inspect incoming produce delivery for freshness, quality, and proactively check inventory levels and place customer orders in a timely manner
• Analyze sales data, trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth in the Produce department.
• Assist customers with questions, provide information about products, and offer recommendations.
• Communicate and build relationships with customers and employees to ensure that we are exceeding the customer's expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Some hands-on experience working with fresh produce is ideal
• Effective interpersonal and relationship-building is key
• Able to lift a max of 30lbs
• Effective writing skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs
