About the role:

The Food & Beverage Server provid es exceptional quality and service to Braidwood guests. In this role, you will be tasked with providing an expertly served beverage or dining experience; anticipating the guests' needs and as an expert on the menu options; and delivering memorable guest experiences. This role is part of the Server team, reporting to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager.

What you will do:

• Provide an enjoyable dining experience through excellence for quality, professionalism, and friendliness.

• Anticipate guest needs and satisfaction ; offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests .

• Assist in clearing and resetting tables according to service standards

• Ensure a seamless dining experience for guests dining at Braidwood Tavern.

• Setting up the restaurant for service, including the buffet.

• Presenting the menu providing detailed explanations of menu items, and recommending dishes.

• Take guest orders, including to-go items.

• Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly while ensuring dishes are as requested .

• Anticipate guest needs, ensure satisfaction and respond appropriately to guest concerns and requests.

• Handling payments accurately, processing transactions, and presenting bills to guests.

What you bring:

• An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task

• High level of understanding and knowledge of food and wine

• Background in Luxury Resort and Hotel considered an asset

• Previous experience as a Server in a restaurant or hotel is required .

• Passion and knowledge of food and beverage products .

• Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.

• Strong command of the English language .

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wine and cocktail recommendations.

• Excellent commitment to service .

• Must have a current Serving it Right certificate .

• Ability to work in Canada .

Schedule & Hours:

As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our service staff to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays.
