Quantum Systems Validation Engineering Lead
Nord Quantique
Lead quantum system validation at Nord Quantique in Sherbrooke, focusing on superconducting systems, reliability engineering, and large-scale experimental qualification.
This senior technical leadership role guides validation across increasingly complex quantum computing systems. You will shape strategies spanning cryogenic hardware, control, software, and deployment readiness. The work supports preservation of logical performance under scaling-induced variability and emergent error channels.
Key Responsibilities:- Define system-level validation and reliability strategies across quantum computer generations
- Build multidisciplinary validation teams spanning robustness and reliability engineering
- Establish acceptance metrics, performance gates, and deployment-readiness criteria
- Lead long-duration stability testing and drift characterization campaigns
- Coordinate root-cause analysis during bring-up and validation failures
- PhD in physics, engineering, quantum computing, or related field
- Five-plus postgraduate years in quantum or advanced hardware systems
- Two years of relevant industry experience included
- Experience leading large-scale experimental or system validation
- Advanced English and intermediate French considered an asset
Apply quantum validation, systems thinking, and reliability leadership to deployment-ready computing systems at Nord Quantique.
