Job Summary :

Alive Montessori and Private School is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Licensing School Supervisor to oversee and ensure the school's compliance with all applicable licensing requirements and regulations. The Licensing School Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining the school's operational standards, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting the school's mission to provide quality education.

Key Responsibilities :

• Regulatory Compliance :
• Ensure the school complies with all local, provincial, and national licensing requirements.
• Stay updated on changes to education laws and regulations that may affect the school's operations.
• Conduct regular audits of school policies, procedures, and records to ensure compliance with licensing standards.
• Licensing Management :
• Oversee the application and renewal process for all necessary school licenses.
• Maintain accurate records of all licensing documentation and ensure timely submission of required reports.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and government agencies to address any licensing issues or concerns.
• Facility Inspections :
• Conduct regular inspections of school facilities to ensure they meet health, safety, and licensing standards.
• Work with school administrators to implement any necessary changes or improvements to meet regulatory requirements.
• Staff Compliance :
• Ensure that all staff members meet the qualifications and requirements mandated by licensing authorities.
• Oversee the submission of background checks, certifications, and other documentation required for licensing.
• Provide training to staff on regulatory and licensing requirements.
• Policy Development :
• Assist in the development and implementation of school policies that align with licensing standards.
• Review and update existing policies to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory changes.
• Reporting and Documentation :
• Prepare and submit required reports to licensing bodies, including annual compliance reports, incident reports, and inspection reports.
• Maintain thorough records of all communications with regulatory agencies.
• Consultation and Support :
• Serve as a resource for the school's administration on matters related to licensing and compliance.
• Advise on best practices for maintaining compliance and addressing potential licensing challenges.
• Emergency Preparedness :
• Ensure that the school's emergency plans comply with licensing requirements and are regularly reviewed and updated.
• Conduct drills and training to ensure staff readiness in emergency situations.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in education, public administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• At least 3-5 years of experience in educational administration, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of local, provincial, and national education laws and licensing requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience working in Montessori or private school settings.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in educational environments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Working Conditions :

• Primarily office-based with regular on-site inspections.
• Some travel may be required for meetings with regulatory bodies or professional development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• DCS / DEC (preferred)

Experience:

• Licensing Child Care Supervisor: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Registered Early Child Care Certification (required)
• Montessori MACTE approved certificate (preferred)
