Life as a Grad Analyst
No matter which division you join, every Grad Analyst follows a shared first-year development journey designed to build the skills, relationships, and experiences needed to succeed as a consultant.
Week 1 – Foundations for Success
A comprehensive onboarding experience covering Alpha's business, consulting fundamentals, core tools, professional skills, and what it means to be a successful consultant.
Week 2 – Shadow
Shadow live client engagements and experienced consultants to gain firsthand exposure to how consulting teams operate, solve problems, and deliver value to clients.
Week 3 – Start Making an Impact
Join a project team and begin contributing to client work, applying the skills and knowledge developed during your onboarding experience.
Months 1–12 – Continuous Growth & Development
Your development doesn't stop after onboarding. Throughout your first year, you'll benefit from a dedicated mentor, an Alpha Buddy, structured performance and development conversations, cohort learning sessions, networking opportunities, and ongoing feedback designed to accelerate your growth and set you up for long-term success at Alpha.

Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Management Consulting
Alpha's Asset & Wealth Management Consulting team partners with some of the world's largest asset managers, wealth managers, and investment firms to solve complex business challenges and drive strategic change. Our consultants help clients improve operating models, enhance client and advisor experiences, navigate industry change, and deliver large-scale transformation initiatives across their organizations.
A Day in the Life
As an Analyst, you'll work as part of a consulting team supporting high-impact projects for leading investment firms. Your day may include analyzing data, conducting industry research, building presentations for senior stakeholders, participating in client workshops, and helping develop recommendations to solve business challenges. You'll gain exposure to strategy, operations, technology, and organizational transformation while working directly with experienced consultants and client leaders.
Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Technology Consulting
Alpha's Asset & Wealth Management Technology Consulting team helps leading investment and wealth management firms modernize their technology, data, and digital capabilities. Consultants work with clients to implement new financial services platforms, improve data architecture, streamline business processes, and unlock better insights through analytics and reporting.
A Day in the Life
As a Solutions Analyst, you'll work alongside consultants, engineers, and client teams to solve technology and data challenges. Your day may include gathering business requirements, analyzing data, supporting enterprise-level system implementations, building reports and dashboards, testing new functionality, and helping clients optimize their technology ecosystems. You'll gain exposure to leading IMS (investment management systems), cloud, data, and analytics platforms while developing the technical and consulting skills needed to drive transformation across the asset and wealth management industry.
Alpha Alternatives
Alpha Alternatives partners with leading private equity, private credit, real assets, infrastructure, asset management, and insurance firms to solve complex business, operational, and technology challenges. Consultants work alongside clients to improve how investments are managed, data is leveraged, and organizations operate—helping firms transform and scale in an increasingly digital world.
A Day in the Life
As an Analyst in Alpha Alternatives, you'll work as part of a consulting team supporting client projects across the alternative investments industry. Your day may include analyzing data, conducting research, building presentations, gathering business requirements, participating in client meetings, and helping develop solutions to operational and technology challenges. You'll gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle—from deal origination and portfolio management to performance reporting, risk management, valuations, and enterprise transformation initiatives.

This opportunity is open to undergraduate and non-MBA master's students graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.

In addition, candidates must:
- Be available to start full-time In April or August 2027
- Be willing and able to work from our Toronto office, with an expectation of ~2-3 days per week in-office during your first year
- Be willing to travel as needed for client engagements, workshops, and team events (significant travel is not typically required)
- Have the legal right to work in the Canada without current or future sponsorship requirements
Compensation and Benefits:
- A base salary of $104,000 CAD with discretionary bonus scheme based on company and personal performance

Recruitment Process

Submit your application, resume, and preferred practice area(s). - Assessment
Following the application deadline, eligible applicants will be invited to complete the CCAT and EPP assessments. Together, these assessments should take approximately 20–30 minutes to complete, and candidates will have around five days to submit them. - One-Way Video Interview
Selected candidates will advance to a one-way video interview. This stage should take approximately 5–10 minutes and will focus on your interest in Alpha, your understanding of the firm, and how your experiences and background align with consulting. - Behavioral Interview
Behavioral interviews will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams and will last ~30 minutes. During this conversation, we'll explore your background, motivations, and interest in Alpha, along with a few traditional behavioral questions. Please be prepared to discuss your experiences and how you would contribute to the firm. Interviewers may come from outside of your selected practice area(s), as we take a firmwide approach to evaluating talent. - Super Day (Case Interview)
Selected candidates will move on to a virtual Super Day, consisting of a 60-minute case interview. This stage is designed to assess the skills consultants use every day, including problem-solving, structured thinking, analysis, communication, and creativity. Candidates will interview with members of their selected practice area. - Final Round Interview
The final stage is a 30-minute interview with senior leadership from your selected practice area(s). This conversation is an opportunity for us to learn more about you and for you to gain additional insight into the team and role.
