ABOUT THE ROLE

The Foot Care Attendant is a primary care worker treating outpatients of St. Joseph’s Care Group. Accountability includes provision of foot and nail care in the Foot Care Clinic of Ambulatory Services, under the supervision and daily functioning of the Chiropody Service; also following the Standards of Care for Ambulatory Services, personal development and management of the work environment.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education/Experience:

• A diploma or degree in a relevant health science discipline
• Current registration in good standing with a professional regulatory college
• Qualifications and training received in Foot and Nail Care (ie. Foot Care Nurse Certification)
• Experienced and expert in the assessment, treatment, and management of clients requiring basic and advanced foot care

Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrated ability to practice independently;
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
• Demonstrated regular attendance at work

Conditions of Employment:

• This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
