Job Responsibility:
Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing and serving delicious and nutritious meals for children attending our centre.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals and snacks.
- Ensure all allergy and dietary restrictions are accommodated.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area and ensure proper food handling practices are followed.
- Maintain inventory and follow FIFO protocols.
- Order groceries and supplies.
- Pick up groceries and supplies.
Qualifications
- Able to work independently in a kitchen setting.
- Cook large volumes of food.
- Understand the importance of complying with food allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Skills in food preparation, meal planning, and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and practices related to food handling.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Team player, organized and flexible.
- Food Safety Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check
- Level 1, 2, or 3
