Job Description Overview The Structural Buildings Team is currently looking for a Junior Structural Engineer to support the growth of the office and the team based out of Halifax. Your role
- Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.).
- Conduct studies, surveys, technical reports and structural inspections.
- Provide contract administration services during the construction phase, including oversight of structural work execution.
- Ensure that the engineering work is produced according to the quality standards of the industry and respect the National Building Code and Ontario Building Code.
- Coordinate projects that impact your structural design with the other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, process, etc.).
- Maintain and develop client and stakeholder relationships.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- 0-2 years related experience in a structural engineering firm or construction
- Experience with structural design software (STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.
- Holds a valid Class 5 driving license.
