Description du poste :
Sous la supervision de l'Agriculteur(trice) Urbain(e) Chef et de l'assistant(e) Agriculteur(trice) Urbain(e), le rôle de cette personne est de mettre en place des projets d'agriculture urbaine avec une clientèle multiculturelle au sein de leur milieu de travail et de vie situé dans différents arrondissements de Montréal. Elle sera aussi responsable de la mobilisation, la sensibilisation et du transfert de connaissances en agriculture urbaine auprès de cette clientèle variée.
Tâches et principales responsabilités :
La personne titulaire de ce poste sera responsable de la mise en place des projets d'agriculture, de la gestion de ses zones de productions, du suivi, de l'accompagnement et de l'évaluation des activités d'agriculture urbaine des projets qui lui sont attribués tout au long de la saison et de travailler en concertation avec les membres de l'équipe MicroHabitat afin de contribuer à l'expansion de l'entreprise à travers le monde et le déploiement de l'agriculture urbaine dans chacune de nos villes.
Gestion horticole
∙ Coordonner et préparer les matériaux pour les installations.
∙ Approvisionnement
∙ Effectuer avec l'équipe de MicroHabitat les aménagements lors de la période d'installation.
∙ Assurer l'entretien complet des fermes urbaines MicroHabitat et mobiliser les membres de ces organisations en offrant des informations sur les projets et des conseils horticoles.
∙ Réaliser des activités éducatives avec les clients de MicroHabitat.
∙ Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes (récoltes, bouturage, arrosage, attacher les plants de tomates, contrôle des pestes et des mauvaises herbes, nettoyer les récoltes, livrer les récoltes).
∙ Effectuer des tâches de contrôle qualité et émettre des rapports pour la gestion horticole.
Représentation et administration
∙ Assister aux rencontres d'équipe et rencontre avec les partenaires.
∙ Rédiger des rapports et documenter les activités de chacun des espaces de production.
∙ Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes en lien avec des achats et l'entretien des outils et de l'infrastructure de MicroHabitat.
∙ Effectuer des tâches de contrôle qualité et émettre des rapports pour la gestion des toits des différentes fermes urbaines.
∙ Suivre et maintenir les protocoles de sécurité qui touchent les opérations de MicroHabitat
∙ Participer à la création de documents de standardisation et guide de formation pour les opérations de l'entreprise.
∙ Travailler directement avec les différentes branches de l'entreprise (ventes et marketing) ainsi qu'avec les autres villes où MicroHabitat opère.
Exigences
∙ Détenir une DEC ou équivalent ou un BAC en agriculture/agriculture urbaine/horticulture/science de l'environnement/développement durable. (Flexibilité sur ce point)
∙ Doit avoir travaillé ou étudié dans le domaine de l'agriculture, de l'horticulture, de l'agriculture urbaine ou du développement durable.
∙ Avoir des connaissances théoriques et pratiques en matière d'agriculture, d'agriculture urbaine ou en horticulture.
∙ Doit avoir de l'expérience et être à l'aise à utiliser fréquemment des outils technologiques tels qu'un téléphone intelligent, la suite Microsoft Office, la suite Google et les plateformes de vidéo conférence (ex: Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
∙ Être bilingue et à l'aise autant à l'oral et à l'écrit en français et en anglais.
∙ Posséder de bonnes capacités rédactionnelles et parlées.
∙ Posséder un permis de conduire.
∙ Avoir deux ans d'expérience avec la conduite de véhicule.
∙ Posséder un téléphone intelligent activé et fonctionnel.
∙ Être résident Canadien et habiter au Canada

Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Chief Urban Farmer and the Assistant Urban Farmer, the role of this individual is to implement urban agriculture projects with a multicultural clientele within their workplace and living environments located in various boroughs of Montreal. They will also be responsible for mobilizing, raising awareness, and transferring knowledge of urban agriculture to this diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
The person in this role will be responsible for:
- Setting up agriculture projects.
- Managing production areas.
- Monitoring, supporting, and evaluating urban agriculture activities for assigned projects throughout the season.
- Collaborating with the MicroHabitat team to contribute to the expansion of the company worldwide and the deployment of urban agriculture in each of our cities.
Horticultural Management:
- Coordinate and prepare materials for installations.
- Procure supplies.
- Assist with installation setups during the installation period with the MicroHabitat team.
- Ensure the full maintenance of MicroHabitat's urban farms and engage organization members by providing project information and horticultural advice.
- Conduct educational activities with MicroHabitat clients.
- Perform various tasks, including harvesting, propagating, watering, tying tomato plants, pest and weed control, cleaning harvests, and delivering produce.
- Perform quality control tasks and issue reports for horticultural management.
Representation and Administration:
- Attend team meetings and partner meetings.
- Write reports and document activities for each production space.
- Perform tasks related to purchasing and maintaining tools and infrastructure.
- Conduct quality control and generate reports for managing the roofs of urban farms.
- Follow and maintain safety protocols related to MicroHabitat operations.
- Participate in the creation of standardization documents and training guides for company operations.
- Work directly with different company branches (sales and marketing) and with other cities where MicroHabitat operates.
Requirements:
- Hold a DEC (college diploma) or equivalent, or a Bachelor's degree in agriculture/urban agriculture/horticulture/environmental science/sustainable development (flexibility on this point).
- Must have worked or studied in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, urban agriculture, or sustainable development.
- Have theoretical and practical knowledge of agriculture, urban agriculture, or horticulture.
- Be experienced and comfortable using technology, including smartphones, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
- Be bilingual, comfortable both orally and in writing in French and English.
- Have strong writing and speaking skills.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Have two years of experience driving vehicles.
- Own an activated and functional smartphone.
- Be a Canadian resident and live in Canada.
