This job is permanent and full-time.Job Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesPerforming mechanical repairs to machinery and plant support systems, including all rotating and stationary equipment.Working with preventative maintenance programs and documenting accurate maintenance records.Working with a wide array of precision tools, including computerized alignment equipment.Ability to read and interpret machine drawings.Key SkillsDedicated to safety, proactive support of efforts to create a culture of safety excellence.Effective communicator to other departments.Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Commitment to working within and creating a safe and healthy work environment.Team player who can work as part of a team or in an independent setting.Computer skills and assets.Respond to production calls during downtime.Communicate updates to supervisor to maintain goals.Required Professional Experience/QualificationsRed Seal certification.3 to 5 years’ experience in related industrial environment.An uncompromising approach to safety.Ability to work in a team or independently.Available for mill 12 hour operational shift schedules.Salary rate: $48.66 per hour as per the Collective Agreement.Domtar is firmly committed to placing greater emphasis on the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion to empower all employees to reach their full potential.
