- Certificat ou diplôme d'un collège, d'un cégep ou d'un autre établissement d'enseignement non universitaire d'un programme d'une durée de 1 an à 2 ans

- Interviewer les patients afin d'obtenir les renseignements sur leurs antécédents médicaux
- Fixer et confirmer des rendez-vous
- Remplir les formules d'assurance et les autres formulaires de réclamation
- Tenir à jour un système de classement
- Commander des fournitures et maintenir l'inventaire
- Mettre sur pied des méthodes administratives
- Saisir et formater des rapports médicaux et de la correspondance médicale électronique et préparer des feuilles de calcul et des documents aux fins de révision
- Établir et tenir des dossiers et des documents médicaux confidentiels
- Préparer des ordres du jour provisoires pour des réunions, et tenir, transcrire et distribuer le procès-verbal
