CASA Mental Health is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide trauma-informed mental health services. Join a compassionate team working on the front lines of youth care. As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at CASA, you'll address the mental health needs of children and youth through the CASA Classroom program. This position entails working within a cohesive team of health professionals and engaging in patient assessments and treatments. You will also play a crucial role in educational activities and in program improvement efforts in partnership with Alberta’s educational institutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage patient care in Classroom programs
- Collaborate with a diverse mental health team
- Enhance mental health service programs and initiatives
- Provide both virtual and in-person patient support
- Participate in educational initiatives for aspiring psychiatrists
- Eligibility for Royal College certification in psychiatry
- Prefer subspecialty in child and adolescent psychiatry
- Licensing eligibility with the Alberta College
- Strong interest in teaching and mentorship
- Compliance with background check procedures required
