Create reliable systems supporting researchers worldwide.As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will maintain and improve laboratory automation systems within STEMCELL’s multidisciplinary Manufacturing team. You will improve manufacturability, serviceability, reliability, quality, and margin while applying statistical methods, lean manufacturing, and industry best practices. Your work supports cutting-edge laboratory instruments for biotechnology research.Key Responsibilities:
Drive instrumentation design maintenance and continuous process improvementDetermine failure root causes using systematic statistical methodsLead BOM, work instruction, jig, fixture, and PFMEA transfersDesign, build, and validate manufacturing and inspection equipmentMaintain manufacturing and service documentation under QMS standardsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree and six-plus relevant years, or Master’s and four-plusDeveloping processes, cost improvements, and root cause analysis experienceKnowledge of fabrication and finishing techniques for complex mechanismsExperience with lean manufacturing, diverse technologies, processes, and FMEAsStrong communication, collaboration, and attention to detailApply manufacturing engineering expertise, statistical analysis, and process improvement skills to advance STEMCELL laboratory automation systems.
