Jarlette Health Services has built a tradition of creating careers for our people to enable them to truly make an outstanding difference. We are a Canadian company with 50 years experience in providing residential and long term care for seniors in Ontario. As a respected leader in our field, we combine innovation and tradition to benefit the lifestyles of our Residents and our Team Members. Jarlette employs over 1700 Team Members across our long term care homes and retirement lodges, including (but not limited to!): Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Nurse Managers, Personal Support Workers, Resident Attendants, Activation, Dietary and Food Services, Housekeeping and Laundry and Restorative Care.

In 1970, Alex and Roberta “Bobbie” Jarlette purchased a long-term care home and moved their young family to Midland, Ontario. The conscientious couple, having always set high standards for themselves, imparted their own values and vision into the home, which would become the touchstone for commitment and care in the local community. Alex and Bobbie had begun a family journey that now spans over 50 years and continues to cultivate a standard of care that is compassionate and family-oriented in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

This approach, coupled with the family’s unwavering pursuit of excellence, impressed members of their new community. Their small long-term care home steadily attracted more and more Residents until expansion was inevitable. They never looked back, yet have never forgotten their vision, and have continued to strive to make an outstanding difference in the lives of others.

Bobbie and Alex's children have grown, with families of their own, and now also uphold the model their parents set in caring for the elderly. Together, with more than 2,000 employees, the Jarlette Family implements this attentive and compassionate standard, caring for over 1,600 Residents at their fourteen long-term care homes and eight retirement lodges.
