The position of a waiter requires individuals to provide top-notch service, take food and drink orders, and deliver orders to patrons. They are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, resolving customer complaints, and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Take orders and serve food and beverages to customers
  • Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations
  • Ensure that all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner
  • Suggest appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials
  • Work closely with restaurant management to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience
  • Prepare tables and dining areas for new customers, including setting up silverware, glasses, and linens
  • Assist with cleaning and resetting tables as needed
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tables at once
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menu and ability to make recommendations to customers
  • Experience with POS systems and ability to accurately process orders and payments
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods of time
