Responsibilities:
- Conduct stress analysis on various structures and mechanical components
- Develop and implement analytical models and simulations to predict structural behavior under different loading conditions
- Interpret and analyze data from various sources, such as blueprints, technical drawings, and computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to identify potential structural issues and develop solutions
- Produce comprehensive stress analysis reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to stress analysis
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior stress analysts
- Ensure that all stress analysis work is completed within established timelines and budgets
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in stress analysis software such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, or ABAQUS.
- Experience in finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Understanding of materials properties and behavior under different loads and environmental conditions.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the aerospace or automotive industry is preferred.
