Responsibilities:

  • responsible for welding metal components together using a variety of welding processes
  • interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints to determine the size and shape of the component parts
  • performing welding operations in compliance with industry standards, safety guidelines, and company policies
  • operating and maintaining welding equipment and tools, including gas and arc welding equipment, grinders, and cutting torches
  • inspecting welded joints to ensure they meet quality and design standards
  • troubleshooting and resolving welding issues, including equipment malfunctions, material defects, and welding technique flaws
  • keeping accurate records of welding activities, including welder logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records
  • working collaboratively with other team members to ensure production targets are met and products are delivered on time

Requirements:

  • Experience in welding and metal fabrication
  • Knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
