Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machines to produce parts or tools
- Read blueprints or job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances
- Select and set cutting speeds, feed rates, depths of cuts, and cutting tools
- Install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
- Inspect product for accuracy and quality
- Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances
- Replace worn tools and sharpen dull cutting tools and dies using bench grinders or cutter-grinding machines
Requirements:
- Technical skills: The candidate must have knowledge and experience in setting up machinery, equipment, tools, and fixtures
