Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and perform daily operations and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and reliability of building systems and equipment.

  • Supervise and train junior building operators and maintenance staff, and provide guidance and support to ensure their success and development.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders, such as property management, engineering, and security, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for building occupants.
  • Monitor and analyze energy usage and costs, and develop strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs while maintaining optimal building performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in building operations
  • Proven experience in overseeing maintenance, repairs, and renovations of commercial buildings
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to manage a team of building operators and maintenance staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with tenants, contractors, and management
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies
  • Proficiency in computer applications and building automation systems
