Responsibilities:

  • Operate semi-trucks to transport goods and materials to various destinations
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns before and after trips
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while driving and ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers using various communication devices
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other related data
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations, and report any major repairs needed
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, and secure it using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Follow company policies and procedures and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times

Requirements:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Experience of at least 2 years in driving similar vehicles
  • Ability to operate and maintain semi-trucks and trailers
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations concerning the transportation of goods
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads
  • Flexibility to work long hours and travel long distances
  • Ability to adapt to different weather conditions and work schedules.
