As a seasonal gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of various gardens and landscapes. Your duties may include planting, pruning, watering, and applying fertilizers and pesticides. You should have knowledge of horticulture and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Plant, water, and weed gardens and other outdoor spaces
- Prune and trim trees, bushes, and other plants in accordance with seasonal needs
- Use hand and power tools to perform basic landscaping tasks, such as mowing and edging lawns
- Assist in the design and installation of new gardens or outdoor spaces
- Monitor and control pests and diseases that may affect plants
- Maintain and repair gardening equipment and tools as needed
- Work with other members of the gardening team to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others
Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of basic gardening techniques and tools
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule
- Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
- Previous experience in gardening or landscaping preferred, but not required.
