Responsibilities:
- Operate rewinding machinery to convert large rolls of paper or film into smaller ones
- Inspect and monitor the quality of the rewound rolls to ensure they meet customer specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on the rewinding machinery to ensure it operates efficiently and safely
- Load and unload the rewinding machine with paper or film rolls
- Label and package the rewound rolls for shipment
- Work with production and quality control teams to identify and troubleshoot issues with the rewinding process
- Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Keep accurate production records and report any production or quality issues to management
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a rewinder or similar role in a manufacturing or printing environment
- Knowledge of different types of rewinding machines and their functions
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and cutting materials
- Physical dexterity and ability to work with hands and machinery
- Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Strong communication skills to work with team members and supervisors
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production deadlines
