Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose problems with machinery or equipment
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery or equipment to repair or replace defective parts
- Test machinery or equipment to ensure proper functioning after repairs
- Use hand and power tools to make necessary repairs and adjustments
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment while performing repairs
- Document repairs and maintenance activities in a computer database or paper log
- Order replacement parts and keep an inventory of parts and equipment
- Communicate with supervisors and other team members regarding repair progress and any issues that arise
Requirements:
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various mechanical and electrical issues in equipment
- Experience in repairing and maintaining equipment such as motors, pumps, and generators
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects and work in cramped spaces
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with team members and customers
- Flexibility to work varying hours and be on call for emergency repairs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites
