An RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) specializes in design, integration and implementation of telecommunication and data communications technology systems and related infrastructures. Responsibilities encompass overseeing installation, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their business needs and provide solutions
  • Design and plan structured cabling systems for commercial and industrial buildings
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients and team members
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and provide recommendations
  • Create detailed project proposals and cost estimates
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to provide innovative solutions to clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
  • RCDD certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing structured cabling systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations related to cabling systems
  • Experience in project management and ability to lead a team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients and other stakeholders
  • Ability to travel to project sites and work independently as needed
