A Pumping Station Engineer is responsible for designing, installing and maintaining pumping systems used in various industries, such as water treatment, oil and gas, and mining. They also troubleshoot and repair any issues with the systems to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities:
- Pump and maintain the pumping station equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance procedures on all equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, perform repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations governing the operation of the pumping station
- Develop and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on the equipment
- Train and supervise other personnel in the operation and maintenance of the pumping station equipment
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for the pumping station
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience working with pumps, valves, and other mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of electrical and control systems used in pumping stations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and stakeholders
- Willingness to work in remote locations or on-call shifts as needed
