Responsibilities:
- Construct and assemble wooden frames for new houses and buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints and plans to determine materials needed and layout of framing
- Use hand and power tools to cut and shape wood and other framing materials to size
- Install and secure framing members, including beams, joists, and studs, to create a stable structure
- Ensure all work meets building codes and standards for safety and quality
- Communicate with other construction professionals, including architects, engineers, and builders, to ensure project goals are met
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines to ensure on-time project completion
Requirements:
- Experience in post framing or a related field is required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Must have knowledge of safety procedures and be able to follow them strictly
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision to ensure accurate measurements and alignments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
