A Picker is responsible for locating, selecting, and packing merchandise in a warehouse or distribution center. Tasks include maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to quality standards, and meeting productivity targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of order picked
  • Verify picked items against order documents
  • Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisor
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse shelves and pick area
  • Meet daily picking targets as set by management
  • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols while performing duties

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Basic math skills for inventory management and order tracking
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed
  • Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
