A Picker is responsible for locating, selecting, and packing merchandise in a warehouse or distribution center. Tasks include maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to quality standards, and meeting productivity targets.
Responsibilities:
- Pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of order picked
- Verify picked items against order documents
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisor
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse shelves and pick area
- Meet daily picking targets as set by management
- Adhere to safety regulations and protocols while performing duties
Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order tracking
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed
- Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
