Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to parents/caregivers in a non-judgmental and empathetic manner
  • Assist parents/caregivers in creating and maintaining a safe and stable home environment
  • Teach parenting skills and techniques to improve family dynamics and promote positive behavior in children
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals involved in the family's care, such as social workers and therapists
  • Assess family needs and develop individualized plans to address those needs
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with agency policies and procedures
  • Attend regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in the field
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct in all interactions with clients and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Must have experience working with children and families
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of families
  • Must be able to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
