A Packer is responsible for carefully storing products for shipment. They pack and label items, ensuring they are safe and ready for transportation. Additionally, a Packer may be tasked with providing accurate inventory counts and inspecting goods for damage.
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting products for defects and damages
- Packing products into appropriate containers and boxes
- Labeling packages with correct information
- Assembling and sealing containers using appropriate methods
- Loading and unloading packages onto trucks and pallets
- Keeping track of inventory and reporting any discrepancies
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Following all safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Basic math skills for counting and measuring quantities
- Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with colleagues
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
- Experience using packaging equipment and tools is a plus
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to health and safety regulations
