An OSS Engineer oversees the operational support systems (OSS) of a telecom network, ensuring seamless functionality. Responsibilities include system design, software installation, troubleshooting, and network performance monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain OSS/BSS solutions for telecommunications networks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of OSS/BSS systems
- Perform system troubleshooting and issue resolution to ensure optimal system performance
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and user manuals for OSS/BSS systems

- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements for OSS/BSS systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in OSS engineering
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and scripting languages such as Bash and Python
- Experience with OSS tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, and Prometheus
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
