An Oiler ensures smooth operation of mechanical equipment by providing lubrication services. Responsibilities include maintaining oil levels, inspecting machinery for wear and tear, and performing minor repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper lubrication of machinery and equipment
  • Monitor oil and lubricant levels and replenish as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including oil changes and filter replacements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid certification as an Oiler.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Oiler.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of different types of oils and lubricants, and their proper usage.
  • Physical fitness to perform job duties, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to work in different locations and on different types of vessels.
