Responsibilities:
- narrate stories, articles, news reports, or other written material for various formats such as audiobooks, videos, and podcasts
- read and interpret text to convey the appropriate tone, mood, and emotions
- use voice modulation and inflection to engage the audience and maintain their interest
- research and prepare for each narration project to ensure accuracy and proper pronunciation of names, places, and technical terms
- follow production guidelines and timelines, and work closely with producers and directors to achieve the desired outcome
- record and edit audio tracks, and provide feedback on sound quality and performance
- attend rehearsals and perform live readings as needed
- continuously improve skills and techniques through training, practice, and feedback
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to read fluently and with expression
- Clear and articulate enunciation
- Experience in voice acting or narration
- Comfortable working in a soundproof recording booth
- Flexible scheduling, including availability for evening and weekend recordings
- Ability to take direction and adjust performance accordingly
- Attention to detail and ability to catch errors in scripts
