Responsibilities:

  • narrate stories, articles, news reports, or other written material for various formats such as audiobooks, videos, and podcasts
  • read and interpret text to convey the appropriate tone, mood, and emotions
  • use voice modulation and inflection to engage the audience and maintain their interest
  • research and prepare for each narration project to ensure accuracy and proper pronunciation of names, places, and technical terms
  • follow production guidelines and timelines, and work closely with producers and directors to achieve the desired outcome
  • record and edit audio tracks, and provide feedback on sound quality and performance
  • attend rehearsals and perform live readings as needed
  • continuously improve skills and techniques through training, practice, and feedback

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read fluently and with expression
  • Clear and articulate enunciation
  • Experience in voice acting or narration
  • Comfortable working in a soundproof recording booth
  • Flexible scheduling, including availability for evening and weekend recordings
  • Ability to take direction and adjust performance accordingly
  • Attention to detail and ability to catch errors in scripts
