A moving helper assists with physical tasks involved in relocating belongings, such as packing, loading, unloading, and assembling furniture. They are responsible for ensuring safe transport and efficient organization of items during the moving process.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading furniture and other household items onto and off of moving trucks
- Wrap and protect furniture and fragile items with moving pads and shrink wrap
- Carry items up and down stairs carefully to avoid damage to the item or property
- Communicate effectively with other moving team members and customers
- Ensure that all items are securely loaded onto the moving truck and properly positioned to prevent damage during transportation
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on moving equipment, such as cleaning and inspecting trucks and dollies
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries
