A Millwright Helper provides essential assistance to Millwrights in repairing, assembling, and dismantling machinery and equipment. They assist in carrying out preventive maintenance activities, adhering to safety guidelines, and performing tasks such as lifting heavy objects and operating hand and power tools, enabling smooth operations and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist millwrights in the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment
  • Carry and move tools, equipment and parts to and from job sites
  • Help dismantle and reassemble machinery and equipment using hand and power tools
  • Clean and maintain work area and equipment, ensuring proper storage and organization of tools and materials
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks, such as measuring, cutting, and drilling
  • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Keep track of inventory, restock supplies, and report any shortages or damages
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks

Requirements:

  • - Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
  • - Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
  • - Familiarity with hand and power tools used in millwright work
  • - Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights
